Updated over a week ago

In February 2019, we've released some big improvements to our feedback questionnaire to make it easier to use and mobile friendly.

If you created your project before the release, then this help article explains how you can update it to use the new questionnaire.ย

1. Activate the new questionnaire

First, activate the new questionnaire in the questionnaire designer:

  1. Open your project

  2. Click Design on the left-hand side

  3. Click the Edit questionnaire button on the right-hand side

  4. Click the Activate now link (as shown in the image below)

Don't worry: If you later change your mind, you can also deactivate the questionnaire by contacting our support team.

2. Consider removing the first 4 questions

Our old questionnaire template used the first 4 questions to display details about the person being assessed and the person giving feedback:

We've removed the need for these questions. Instead, you can now use "merge tags" to include the name of the person being assessed and other useful details in your questionnaire header and intro:

The first 4 questions can't be updated in the questionnaire designer. If you'd like to remove them then get in touch and we'll be happy to help :)

This help article covers the available merge tags and how to add them to your feedback questionnaire.

3. Consider removing the rating scale guidance

Our old questionnaire template includes a visual of the rating scale that shows the values (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and the descriptions of each value (e.g. "Poor" to "Exceptional"):

This is less important in our new questionnaire, as we show the description of each value when the user hovers over the value:

To remove the scale from your questionnaire, you can simply remove the "[Scale]" help content in the questionnaire designer:

Need help?

Get in touch and we'll be happy to help with any of the above steps, or any other questions you may have :)
